I love the fact that I live in a place that people want to come to as a destination. It’s been a spectacular Summer, and I have met so many people from all over the world. I love our little neck of the woods and I am so happy so many are discovering it every day! Mollie and Tobin discovered our area after visiting from Portland (and after moving from Iowa!) and knew this was the place they needed to have their family and friends be when they committed themselves to each other. An Oregon Coast Destination Wedding!
From {Mollie and Tobin}
The location was the spectacular Langlois Mountain Retreat. It was my first visit to the retreat, and I really hope not my last. Created out of an 1800′s post office/hotel, this historic site later housed the world renown Millard Boys Academy of the 1950′s and 60′s. Langlois Mountain Retreat rests at 1200 feet, overlooking the scenic Oregon Coast. There are five buildings with room for a lot of people, making this a perfect location for a week-long celebration for the whole family!

Wow! A Five Star retreat reasonably priced for the high quality. A place rich in history, panoramic views and hospitality from the attentive and friendly staff. We look forward to seeing you in the future!

What an amazing, peaceful and beautiful place you have! The quarters are rustic, but comfortable and charming, the terrace gardens have obviously been a labor of love, and it has been a long, long time since we’ve stayed anywhere so quiet! We saw deer walking down the middle of the road several times and saw Elk sign while hiking the main trail to the back of the property. A wonderful place for kids and dogs to run and explore, for photographers and painters to practice or for anyone wanting to getaway from the hectic pace of modern life! We love it here and did not want to leave!
